Dallas Cowboys running back Jaydon Blue did not participate in Tuesday's joint practice with the New Orleans Saints because of a shoulder injury, according to Patrik Walker from the Cowboys' official site.
In the Cowboys' preseason opener last weekend, Blue recorded 10 touches and gained 34 yards. He is competing for the backup running back position behind Javonte Williams and is expected to receive significant playing time this preseason.
If Blue is unable to play due to his shoulder issue in the upcoming game against the Arizona Cardinals, Malik Davis may have the opportunity to secure the RB2 role. Further details regarding the severity of Blue's injury have not yet been provided.
