SMU announced that Oziyah Sellers has joined its men’s basketball roster after enrolling at the school. The fifth-year guard is practicing with the program, but the school has not provided a timetable for an eligibility determination.
Sellers started 36 games for St. John’s during the 2025-26 season, averaging 10.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists. The Red Storm went 30-7 and captured the Big East championship. A season earlier, Sellers started every game for Stanford and posted 13.7 points per game in the ACC.
He spent his first two college seasons at USC, where SMU coach Andy Enfield previously coached him. Sellers has connected on 37.8% of his career three-point attempts, including 42.9% as a USC sophomore, and has made 86.9% of his free throws. His arrival comes before SMU’s third season under Enfield, with the program’s 2026-27 transfer class ranked No. 21 nationally by On3.
