The Dallas Cowboys have reached an agreement with wide receiver Ryan Flournoy on a one-year contract extension, keeping him with the team through the 2027 season. The reported value is $6 million, with the deal expected to be signed this week.
Flournoy, a sixth-round selection by Dallas in 2024, had been positioned to become a restricted free agent after the 2026 season. The extension removes that possibility and gives the Cowboys another season of control over his contract.
Dallas placed Flournoy on waivers during its initial roster reductions in 2025. He cleared waivers and later returned to the organization through its practice squad. Because that agreement replaced his original four-year rookie contract, he had only three years remaining under the new deal, followed by a potential restricted-free-agent season.
The extension comes before the Cowboys' regular-season opener against the New York Giants. Flournoy is coming off what the team described as a breakout 2025 season, and the new contract gives him opportunities to continue developing in 2026 and 2027 while leaving open the possibility of a longer agreement later. Dallas also recently agreed to a three-year extension with tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford.
