Last year's Dallas Open final will have a chance at a rematch in Frisco this winter.

Tournament organizers have named Ben Shelton, Taylor Fritz and Frances Tiafoe as the first three players committed to the 2027 Nexo Dallas Open, Local Profile reported Tuesday. The ATP 500 event returns to the Ford Center at The Star from Feb. 6 to 14.

Shelton won the 2026 title by beating Fritz, the top seed, in a championship match that drew a sellout crowd of more than 6,000. Tiafoe, the third name on the list, reached the semifinals of the 2026 U.S. Open. More players will be announced later, according to the report.

"Dallas has become a really special stop for me," Shelton said in the announcement. "I'm excited to come back, see the fans and get another opportunity to compete."

Tournament director Peter Lebedevs called the three returns "a tremendous way to begin building the 2027 field" and pointed to the Shelton-Fritz final as a reason fans will want to see both men back.

A bigger 2026 to build on

Organizers say attendance at this year's tournament rose 10% over the year before and ticket sales climbed 18%. The 2026 event drew 12 of the top American players and competitors from 11 countries, and it was the first edition with Nexo as title partner.

The week opens on Saturday, Feb. 6, with an 8 p.m. exhibition, the All-American Classic, featuring Shelton and Alex Michelsen. Other American players for that exhibition have not been named.

Single-session tickets for the exhibition, the early rounds and the final days are on sale through the tournament's website, dallasopen.com.
