Texans linebacker Jake Hummel was placed on injured reserve Saturday after suffering a groin injury during the team's Week 1 loss to the Bills. The move means he will be unavailable for at least four games before he can be considered for a return to the active roster.
Hummel has not practiced since sustaining the injury. Jake Hansen is expected to continue starting at linebacker with Azeez Al-Shaair and Aiden Fisher while Hummel is out.
