Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins is uncertain to play against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2 after missing consecutive practices because of a hamstring injury. His official status for the game has not been determined.

Collins was hurt during Houston's Wednesday workout. NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that the injury was not considered serious by the team's doctors, but Collins remained unavailable for practice Thursday and Friday.

Ian Rapoport discussed Collins' situation Friday on *The Pat McAfee Show*. Rapoport said the lack of participation over two practices was a negative sign for Collins' chances of playing, while also saying the hamstring problem did not appear to be serious.

The 27-year-old receiver opened the 2026 season with seven receptions for 75 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets in Houston's 36-31 loss to the Buffalo Bills. He entered the season with more than 1,000 receiving yards in each of the previous three years.

ClutchPoints.com reported that Collins' status remains unresolved. If he does not play against Cincinnati, the source said he could potentially return for Houston's Week 3 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts on Sept. 27.
