A fitness competition that until now had only been staged in Minneapolis is running Friday and Saturday, Oct. 2 and 3, at Life Time Frisco.

LT Games Dallas is the third edition of the event and the first held outside Minnesota. Life Time, the health club company, launched the competition in October 2025 and held a second round in April 2026.

When it announced the Frisco stop on July 1, the company said the Frisco club would also house its second HYBRID XT studio, a training space built for this style of racing. The first opened at Minneapolis' Target Center in 2025.

How the race works

The format belongs to the fast-growing "hybrid" category that mixes endurance work with strength. Each athlete moves through 17 stations in a fixed order, with running between tasks and equipment such as rowers, ski ergometers, sleds, barbells and dumbbells along the way.

According to the event site, competitors pick their own weights and rep schemes at each station, men and women have different weight and distance targets, and athletes start in groups of four every 15 to 20 minutes, each with a dedicated judge.

Registration opened in July for a field capped at 144 athletes, with Life Time members paying $249 and others $299. The event page now describes a field of about 130. Top male and female finishers split a $25,000 prize purse.

Wes Robertson, the race director for LT Games, said in the July announcement that hybrid fitness keeps gaining momentum as athletes push their strength and endurance.

Watching

Both days of competition are scheduled to stream on the LT Games website. The company has not published spectator details for the Frisco club on the event page; people hoping to watch in person should check with Life Time Frisco before going.
