FRISCO, Texas — A third suspect has been arrested in the 24-year-old cold case murder of Plano resident Frank Weiss, the Frisco Police Department announced Wednesday, June 24.

Jason Honrud, 50, of Waxahachie was taken into custody at approximately 7 a.m. by members of the Frisco Police Department working with the Waxahachie Police Department. He was arrested on a murder warrant.

Weiss was found dead near Lake Lewisville within Frisco city limits in 2002. The case remained unsolved for more than two decades.

In April, police arrested Lisa Honrud — Weiss's wife at the time of his death — in connection with the murder. In May, 57-year-old Keith Hart, also of Waxahachie, was charged.

The department said in a statement: "The Frisco Police Department continues to pursue justice for victims and their families, no matter how much time has passed." Details of what led to Weiss's murder have not been released.

Frisco Police and CBS Texas urge anyone with additional information to contact the department.
