The Dallas Wings must win in San Francisco on Friday, October 2, to extend their postseason. Game 3 against the Golden State Valkyries begins at 8 p.m. Central at Chase Center, with ESPN2 televising the deciding game.

The best-of-three series is tied 1–1. Golden State won the September 27 opener 104–80 at home, and Dallas answered with a 108–100 overtime victory in Arlington on September 30.

The venue is an important part of the matchup. Dallas has lost all three of its visits to Chase Center this season, including Game 1. Golden State finished the regular season with a 17–5 home record.

Arike Ogunbowale supplied a WNBA playoff-record 45 points in the Wings’ Game 2 victory. Her three-pointer with 4.1 seconds left tied the score, and she added 11 points in overtime. Alysha Clark scored 21 and Aziaha James 13 for Dallas; Gabby Williams led Golden State with 36.

A Dallas victory would send the Wings to the semifinals for the first time since 2023. Golden State is pursuing its first playoff series win. Las Vegas awaits after eliminating Indiana on October 1; the semifinal series begins Sunday, October 4.
