Laykon Brassfield of Lewisville is featured as a junior quarterback who has accumulated 734 passing yards and 14 touchdowns in three games. The undefeated Lewisville team is ranked 14th among 6A teams in the state. Brassfield also has 133 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the season.
In the most recent game, a 49-17 victory over Denton Ryan, he threw for 330 yards and six scores.
Zach Forbish, a senior wide receiver for Frisco Lone Star, is noted for his 17 receptions totaling 340 yards and five touchdowns. The team is the top-ranked 5A team in the area and second in the state’s 5A Division I poll. Forbish, a three-star recruit pledged to Michigan State, recorded 10 catches for 152 yards and two touchdowns in a 56-27 win over Cedar Hill.
Tre Green, a sophomore running back for Trophy Club Byron Nelson, has rushed for 439 yards and six touchdowns. The team is on a two-game winning streak. Green has received at least 27 college offers, including from Alabama, Boston College, and Florida State, according to 247Sports. He rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns in a 52-34 win over Northwest Eaton.
Daylan Howell, a senior linebacker for Arlington Martin, returned an interception 28 yards for a touchdown in a 60-17 win over Weatherford. The Martin team enters its game against Aledo undefeated.
Evan Koehne, a senior running back for Celina, leads his team in rushing with 449 yards and six touchdowns. He rushed for 182 yards and two touchdowns in a 46-15 win over Prosper Richland. In a previous season matchup against Frisco Panther Creek, Koehne ran for 151 yards and four touchdowns.
