Cow Tipping Creamery will close its location at The Star in Frisco on July 14, 2026. The Dallas-based restaurant group that owns the dessert shop plans to replace it with a cocktail lounge named The Imperial Room. The new venue will share a kitchen with the adjacent Cane Rosso pizza restaurant.

The decision to shift from ice cream to cocktails stems from the seasonal nature of the dessert business, according to Chief Marketing Officer Jeff Amador. He stated that the group hopes the cocktail lounge will generate more consistent customer traffic throughout the year. The company also owns Zoli's and Thunderbird Pies.

The Imperial Room will occupy a 600-square-foot space with seating for approximately 25 people. Barman Gabe Sanchez, who works at Midnight Rambler and Saint Valentine, will design the cocktail menu. The food offering will include small plates such as Caesar salad and 'nduja toast, alongside larger entrees like cacio e pepe, vodka agnolotti, and a roast beef sandwich.

Amador noted that the proximity to Cane Rosso allows the two establishments to share kitchen resources. He drew inspiration from Goodwins and its attached Goose Bar in East Dallas, which operates two dining concepts under one roof. Amador described the arrangement as offering a casual option at the pizzeria for everyday visits and The Imperial Room for special occasions.

Cow Tipping Creamery has operated since 2016, previously opening locations in East Dallas, Fort Worth, and Carrollton before closing them. The Frisco shop was its final location. The brand was known for large ice cream creations called stackers, which combined soft serve with items like funnel cake, cereal, and gummy bears. Flavors included the Cinnacrumb, featuring horchata soft serve and sour cream coffee cake.

The company also introduced the Swirled Cup during the World Cup season, combining vanilla and chocolate soft serve with chocolate chip cookie dough and Oreo crumbs. Further details regarding the specific timeline for The Imperial Room's opening are not yet clear.
