Plano has confirmed that the Miyako Hybrid Hotel will open in late 2027. The 217-room property is designed to merge Japanese craftsmanship with local hospitality standards. It will include 11 suites, led by a signature Imperial Suite, alongside public areas intended to balance refined Japanese aesthetics with modern Texas comfort.
The facility will offer several amenities for guests. These include a traditional Japanese restaurant, a Japanese bakery, and an upscale lobby lounge and bar. A rooftop bar and dining area will provide panoramic views. The hotel also features more than 5,000 square feet of meeting and event space for business and leisure travelers.
Development of the project has spanned several years. Momentum increased after Plano approved economic incentives to support the arrival of the internationally recognized brand. City officials cited the project's cultural significance and long-term economic impact as reasons for the support. Plans for Texas' first Miyako Hybrid Hotel were first unveiled in 2024.
Construction began after developers broke ground on the site. The property is positioned to strengthen Plano's existing ties with Japan. The Legacy area, where the hotel is located, hosts numerous Japanese companies and serves as a hub for international business. The hotel aims to welcome both business travelers and vacationers while introducing elevated service standards.
