Several Dallas-area high school football programs are carrying active streaks into the third week of the 2026 season. Allen, Duncanville, Frisco Lone Star and Lovejoy will attempt to extend their current runs while facing challenging competition.
Allen enters its final nondistrict matchup with a perfect 2-0 record. The five-time state champion plays eight-time state champion Southlake Carroll this week. The Eagles have not lost a regular-season game since falling 37-36 to Prosper in Week 11 of October 2023.
That loss ended a long run, and Allen has now won 22 consecutive regular-season games. A victory against Carroll would make it 23 straight.
Duncanville faces DeSoto at the Cotton Bowl on Saturday. The two schools no longer share a district after DeSoto moved to Class 5A Division I this season, but they met in nondistrict play. Duncanville holds a two-game winning streak over its rival, having won 48-28 in 2025 and 42-20 in 2024.
DeSoto started the 2026 season 0-2. The Skyhawks did beat Duncanville 49-35 in 2023 and won that year's 6A Division II state title.
Frisco Lone Star has scored at least 40 points in its first two games. The 2025 5A Division I state runner-up defeated Royse City 41-26 in Week 1 and Pennsylvania's Simon Gratz 48-24 in Week 2. The Lions visit Cedar Hill in Week 3 and could continue their high-scoring streak.
