The Dallas Cowboys experienced another altercation during practice just two days after a heated joint session with the New Orleans Saints, which resulted in both teams being fined by the NFL. The latest scuffle involved tight end Jake Ferguson and linebacker DeMarvion Overshown, reportedly sparked by Ferguson's reaction to a tackle, leading him to throw the ball at Overshown.

Jon Machota of The Athletic reported that the confrontation was quickly resolved and did not escalate further. This incident follows a joint practice on Tuesday where multiple fights occurred, prompting the NFL to impose a fine of $500,000 on each team for their conduct during the session.

The joint practice was marked by significant physicality, with reports indicating that over ten fights took place, including pushing, shoving, and punches thrown. Cowboys edge rusher Donovan Ezeiruaku was notably ejected after throwing a punch, marking his second ejection of the training camp.

Head coach Brian Schottenheimer expressed frustration over the fights, stating that they detracted from the necessary practice work. He emphasized the importance of maintaining focus during training sessions, saying, "Nobody wants this. We want to get the work in."

With the joint practices concluded, the Cowboys are now preparing for their upcoming preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday night. Further details regarding the team's strategy or player conditions were not provided.
