Noah Brown, a former wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys, has signed with the Las Vegas Raiders, the team announced on Sunday. This move adds a physical and experienced target to the Raiders' receiving corps, necessitating the release of defensive tackle Benito Jones to create a roster spot.

Brown's career has seen its share of challenges, particularly with injuries that sidelined him for 19 games during his two seasons with the Washington Commanders. Despite these setbacks, he showcased his capabilities when healthy, recording 40 receptions for 536 yards and one touchdown, averaging 13.4 yards per catch.

Drafted by the Cowboys in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft after playing at Ohio State, Brown became known for his reliability and versatility. He served as a dependable player in Dallas, particularly during the 2022 season when he caught 43 passes for 555 yards and three touchdowns, supporting quarterback Dak Prescott.

After leaving the Cowboys, Brown signed with the Houston Texans, where he had a productive season with 33 receptions for 567 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 17.2 yards per reception. Over his NFL career, he has accumulated 155 catches for 2,083 yards and six touchdowns.

The Raiders are not expecting Brown to be the focal point of their offense, but his size, toughness, and experience could provide valuable support to their receiving rotation. This signing marks a fresh opportunity for Brown to continue his NFL career, particularly after injuries hindered his progress in Washington.

For the Cowboys, Brown's journey serves as a reminder of the perseverance of seventh-round draft picks, with few lasting nine seasons in the league. His ability to adapt and contribute in various roles has earned him another chance to prove his worth in the NFL.
