TCU is 2-1 entering Big 12 play and could regain one of its leading offensive players Sept. 26, when it faces UCF. Wide receiver Jordan Dwyer has not played in the Horned Frogs’ first three games of the 2026 season because of a foot injury, but his availability is expected for the conference opener. It has not been confirmed beyond the coach’s update.
Coach Sonny Dykes provided the assessment after TCU’s 31-7 win over Arkansas State. “We expect Jordan to play next week,” Dykes told reporters. He said Dwyer’s return would give the team a lift.
Dwyer transferred to TCU from Idaho and started each of the team’s regular-season games in 2025. He recorded 54 receptions, 730 yards and seven touchdowns. In his first game for TCU, against North Carolina, he caught nine passes for 136 yards and scored one touchdown.
With Dwyer sidelined, Ed Small has emerged as one of TCU’s top receivers, while tight end Kari Ashley made contributions in the Arkansas State victory. Their production has given quarterback Jaden Craig multiple passing options during the opening games.
