Universal has opened its newest theme park in Frisco, Texas, marking a distinct shift in strategy by centering the experience entirely around children. The location is situated just north of Dallas.
This facility represents Universal’s sixth theme park worldwide and its third within the United States. It officially opened to the public in July 2026.
Emily Kaufman, known as The Travel Mom, visited the resort to evaluate its suitability for family travel. She has previously traveled to numerous family-friendly destinations around the globe.
Kaufman noted that the park offers activities, shows, and rides designed to be enjoyed by both young children and their grandparents. The resort also features live entertainment, dining options, and hotel amenities.
