Residents and visitors in the Plano and Frisco areas have numerous options for entertainment and cultural engagement through the summer of 2026. The region is hosting major sporting events, immersive art installations, and historical exhibitions across multiple cities.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 is a central focus for sports fans in North Texas. Nine matches will be held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington between June 14 and July 14. To support the tournament, FC Dallas is organizing a 34-day fan festival at Simpson Plaza in Frisco from June 11 to July 19. This event includes live match screenings, interactive activities, music, and food. Free tickets are required for entry to the plaza.

A similar celebration, the Dallas Fan Fest, is taking place at Fair Park in Dallas from June 11 to July 19. This gathering offers live match screenings, entertainment, and cultural experiences for visitors from around the world.

Several museums and galleries are featuring exhibitions related to soccer and Texas history. The Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas is hosting Soccer: More Than a Game from March 7 to September 7. This 10,000-square-foot interactive display explores the physics and strategy behind the sport through STEM-focused displays. The Frisco Heritage Museum is presenting Legends of Soccer from June 15 to December 1. This free exhibit highlights legendary players and historic tournament moments, including tributes to Johan Cruyff, Diego Maradona, and Pelé.

Art exhibitions are also prominent across the region. The Colony is hosting an immersive Harry Potter experience at Cosm Dallas from May 7 to July 2. This screening uses 12K LED dome technology to create a themed environment based on Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. In McKinney, the America 250: Texas Trailblazing Wonder Women Exhibition runs from June 15 to August 30 at Millhouse. The juried show features 25 large-scale works by Texas artists honoring influential women in history.

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is displaying Hunt Slonem: Bunnies, Birds & Butterflies from April 20 to September 30. The internationally recognized neo-expressionist artist’s large-scale sculptures and colorful installations are set throughout the gardens. These events provide a wide range of activities for local residents and tourists alike.

Details regarding specific daily schedules for these events are not yet clear. Further information on ticketing for non-FC Dallas events is also not provided in the source material.
